Dr. Mohr Welcomes Dentist Richard Porraro, DDS’ Pompano Beach Dental Patients

Pompano Beach dentist Richard J. Porraro retired earlier in 2017.  He asked Dr. Eric Mohr, who had just relocated his practice to the area from Boca Raton in 2016, to look after his many patients.

Not only are his patients following him to Dr. Mohr’s practice but Dr. Porraro’s Hygienist (and daughter!) Teresa, and Kelly, his dental assistant as well.  These familiar and welcome faces to Dr. Porraro’s patients have blended right into the team.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Porraro’s patients,” says Dr. Mohr. “Every one tells wonderful stories about what terrific care they received over the years.  With the help of Kelly and Teresa we look forward to continuing to provide them with the best general and cosmetic dentistry services.”

So, you never felt like flossing anyway?

So, you’ve read the recent headlines and you never really felt like flossing anyway. Now what?

If you read deeper into the article, then you know there has never been conclusive research to prove that flossing improved your oral health.

This brings to mind two specific thoughts.

Firstly, do you need a scientific study to report the obvious?  I haven’t seen the research, but I know umbrellas keep you dryer in the rain.

Secondly, expect to spend more time and money at the dental office when you decide to skip the floss.  There is no substitute for routine maintenance.

My advise follows that of the many before me, only floss the ones you want to keep!

Change: to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone

When a change occurs with growth and as part of process of full development, it should be embraced or better yet celebrated.

I am excited and proud to announce my acquisition of Dental Smile Therapy!

This first month, while stressful as transitions tend to be, has been an amazing, fulfilling experience.  I have been blessed to be surrounded by loving family and friends, a supportive dental team, and loyal patients.  I am honored to be trusted by so many who have made this transition with me and I thank you.  I don’t take this responsibility lightly and look forward to seeing each of you again in the near future!
